See prices and availabilityGininn NanXi is a three-star hotel on Nanjing West Road, in Taipei's Datong District, occupying the sixth to twelfth floors of its building. The location is what makes it: Ningxia Night Market and the old shops of Dihua Street are both within walking distance, MRT Beimen is about eight minutes away on foot, and Taipei Main Station can be reached in around a quarter of an hour.
Five room types suit solo travellers, couples, friends and families, from a single for one to a quadruple for four. Every room has air conditioning, a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, a seating area and soundproofing, and Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
Services are practical: a lift, concierge, tour desk, room service, daily housekeeping, luggage storage and an airport shuttle at extra charge. There is no breakfast or parking on site, but coffee shops and local food spots start right outside the door, and the night market is ready for dinner every evening.

Gininn NanXi has five room types, all sharing the same essentials: air conditioning, an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, slippers and towels, a flat-screen TV, a seating area, a socket by the bed and free Wi-Fi. Rooms are non-smoking and have soundproofing.
What changes is size and how many can sleep. The Economy Single Room is a 10 m² space for one; the Standard Double Room and Standard Twin Room measure 12 m² for two, with a double bed or two singles; and the Classic Triple Room and Classic Quadruple Room, both 15 m², sleep three or four, a good fit for families and small groups.

Gininn NanXi keeps things simple and useful. A lift serves the hotel's floors, Wi-Fi is free in all areas, and the concierge and tour desk can help plan days out around Taipei. Room service and daily housekeeping are available, there is luggage storage, and check-in and check-out can be private or express.
An airport shuttle can be arranged at extra charge. The whole hotel is non-smoking, with smoke alarms, a carbon monoxide detector and CCTV in the common areas. There is no breakfast and no parking, so plan meals around the neighbourhood's coffee shops and food stalls.
Gininn NanXi sits on Nanjing West Road in Datong, between the shopping streets around MRT Zhongshan and the historic lanes of Dadaocheng. Coffee shops are practically on the doorstep, and local food spots fill the surrounding blocks.
From Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, about 26 km away, the Airport MRT express reaches Taipei Main Station in around 35 minutes from Terminal 1 and 38 from Terminal 2, with trains every 15 minutes. From there it's roughly a 14-minute walk or a short taxi ride to the hotel. Taipei Songshan Airport is about 5 km away. For getting around, MRT Beimen is around eight minutes on foot and MRT Zhongshan, where the Tamsui–Xinyi and Songshan–Xindian lines meet, is about 700 m away; Taipei Bus Station is an 11-minute walk. There's no parking at the hotel, so public transport is the easiest way to move around. Check-in starts at 15:00, check-out is until 11:00, and luggage storage is available.
Ningxia Night Market, near the Nanjing West Road roundabout, opens every evening from 17:00 and is busiest between 19:00 and 22:00: go for oyster omelettes, braised pork rice and taro balls, including at several Michelin Bib Gourmand stalls. By day, walk to Dihua Street, considered Taipei's oldest street, for dried goods and tea shops, historic buildings and the Xiahai City God Temple; late morning and afternoon are best, as some shops close on Sundays or Mondays. Towards sunset, continue to Dadaocheng Wharf for riverside views and food stalls. Closer still, the Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei, in a restored Japanese-era school building, is ten minutes away, while Chifeng Street's vintage shops and cafés are near MRT Zhongshan. October, November and April are the most comfortable months; May and June bring the plum rains, and July to September are hot, with the occasional typhoon.
